A Word about Christmas Craft Fairs

I have been an avid attendee when it comes to Christmas Craft Fairs in my residential area. The reason, is because I love that people are artistic and no matter what your talent is, it seems that Christmas Craft Fairs are the best place to have your talent displayed. Here's the thing - Christmas Craft Fairs (like everything else in the financial world) seems to be leading more and more towards the "commercial" companies to have them fill space in their Fairs. It's sad. You see 3 tables of Ann's Homemade Scarves, Jill's Jam Jelly, Kelly's Kookoo Clocks, and then there's the big Pampered Chef poster and a table full of really expensive kitchen crap. It's sad to see that local Christmas Craft Fairs.
I had quite a few Craft Fairs that I wanted to attend on my calendar this year, but after today's display at Alex Hope (tupperware was there, pampered chef - just to name a few) were there, and I just really don't want to waste my Christmas Fair time on those companies. So, none the less, this year, my Holiday Blog won't be so much focusing on the local Craft Fairs but within the next couple of blogs, there will a HUGE list of all the Christmas Craft Fairs you can go check out! ENJOY!

The Christmas Events are starting

Today it seemed as though I was all over the Lower Mainland getting in as much Holiday happenings as I could. First I attended the Christmas Craft Fair at Alex Hope. It was alright - I do find though that the Christmas Craft Fairs seem to be gearing more towards the elderly crowd and there is little that caught my eye. Onto Richmond Center for some Holiday Bath and Body Works items to add to the festivities of my home. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bath and Body Works and am super happy that it has graced it's presence here in the Lower Mainland! After my shopping spree there, onto Ikea to check out the Holiday items. Interesting. Lots of black, red and silver this year - which is great as this is what my Holiday colors are this year! YES! All in all it was a long day of driving, listening to Holiday songs and checking out the Holiday Cheer around the Lower Mainland!

Lavish Fashion Show

I got the pleasure of attending Lavish Fashion Show & ladies night event this evening. It took place in Langley at the Cascades Convention Centre. Lavish is a company that began their mother/daughter dream team journey in 2006. They started their business in their basement and have grown their company tremendously! Check out their handbags, watches, pashminas, necklaces, earrings and belts. It was a great evening of shopping, marketing, meeting new people and watching a LAVISH fashion show! Way to go ladies! Thanks for a great evening!

Valley Girls View

I created this blog to help fellow Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley peeps to find out the upcoming events and attractions in Vancouver. I won't necessarily have sports attractions and "boys toys" issues or events on here - it's basically and mainly for us women. So I hope you enjoy this blog and please feel free to give me a shout out if you have an event coming up or would like to be mentioned on my blog
